Ziana Chelimo
Ziana is a Senior Analyst at EED Advisory. She possesses exemplary research, data collection, and analysis skills. At EED Advisory, Ziana has significantly contributed to the development of climate change and green finance projects more specifically she supported the development of the case study measuring financial flows against the Paris Agreement for Access to Finance Rwanda through planning and conducting key informant interviews and contributing to the final case study report and provided technical support in organizing a webinar exploring “How can international climate funding support the greening of public and private finance in Africa”. Currently, she is managing the Survey on Public Response to Corruption in Nairobi project which involves organizing and conducting field and telephone surveys among 1800 respondents in Nairobi to assess the public’s perception of bribery. In addition to that, Ziana has been involved in the preparation of data collection tools for UNICEF hygiene market analysis which entailed recruiting and training enumerators in Kericho, Nyamira, and Uasin Gishu counties, carrying out key informant interviews with the relevant stakeholder, and developing the respective county field reports and the development of a low-cost indoor air pollution monitoring device (Open-HAP) for Climate Ledger Initiative through supervision of the field data collection and data cleaning. She also supports business development processes at EED Advisory through the preparation of proposals and expression of interests which involves developing methodologies, budgets, and team profiles. Ziana possesses a Master of Science degree in Climate Change: Science & Impacts with First Class Honours from University College Dublin (Ireland) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Nairobi (Kenya).
