Tom Shikorire is a Manager at EED Advisory and has extensive experience as a researcher in the energy sector. Tom is part of the team that provided technical assistance in the Africa Clean Energy Technical Assistance Facility project. The assignment involved understanding the prevailing conditions of the Stand-Alone Solar systems and the overall implementation status and progress of the DfID Energy Africa Compacts. He was also provided technical support to the New Climate Institute (NCI) in the modeling study to assess opportunities for climate action and sustainable development in the Kenyan cooking sector as well as provided technical support in the Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) study on cost-benefit analysis of taxes and duties on clean cooking solutions in Kenya. Tom is currently part of the team providing technical support and due diligence for projects and businesses in the African Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF) REACT programs in Somalia. The assignment involves evaluating expressions of interest and business proposals presented by various companies in Somalia and Somaliland.
