Morris Maina

Morris is an Associate at EED Advisory with an interest in Energy. At EED, Morris is currently the project manager of the Zambia Clean Cooking Market Assessment Project that seeks to assist the World Bank to better advise and support the government of the Republic of Zambia in achieving its goal of clean cooking for all urban households by2030. He is also the project manager for Fusion Experience Kenya Limited – Havgas Project which aims to transition charcoal users in low-income areas to using LPG through the distribution of 0.5Kgs LPG cylinder and a one-burner cooker. The objective of this project is to evaluate the viability of FEKL’s business model and identify strategic options available for FEKL to achieve its objectives. Additionally, Morris offered technical support for the AECFREACT SSA program in Somalia and Somaliland, provided technical support for a country-wide survey that assessed the prevalence of Quality Verified and non-Quality Verified solar products and appliances in Kenya, conducted a cost-benefit analysis of taxes and duties on clean cooking solutions in Kenya, and AfDB LMCP Impact Evaluation, among others. Prior to joining EED, Morris trained under the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA)on Environmental Impact Assessment. He worked in the manufacturing sector, providing technical support for water purification, bottling, and sales. Morris is a Commonwealth Scholarship alumnus with an MSc in Environmental Management from, the University of Stirling (UK) and BSc in Environmental Conservation and Natural Resource Management from South Eastern University (Kenya).
