Martin Kitetu
Martin Kitetu is an energy expert having provided insights in energy audits, feasibility studies, demand assessments and organizational carbon foot-printing. At EED, he has been involved in the formulation of the KCB climate change strategy on carbon neutrality with respect to the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTI). He is also part of a consortium which is developing a mini-grid rollout plan and feasibility studies of 20 potential mini-grid sites in Rwanda for the Energy Development Corporation Limited (EDCL). Martin is currently the project manager at KAIOTE LTD, a subsidiary of EED advisory involved in developing innovative solutions for challenges in energy, water management and climate change using Internet-of-things (IOT) technologies. His current roles include; overseeing the implementation of an autonomous water metering and billing system at Malindi Water and Sewerage Company (MAWASCO) and developing an air-quality monitoring system in collaboration with @iLab for real-time monitoring in Nairobi. Prior to joining EED Advisory, Martin worked in Spin Knit Ltd as a mechatronic engineer, taking part in maintenance of plant machinery, and the planning and implementation of energy conservation measures. Martin holds a BSc. Mechatronic Engineering specializing in control engineering and is a certified energy auditor from the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
