Festus is a Senior Analyst at EED Advisory with a keen interest in the energy and climate change sector. He actively engages in research that aid in bridging the gap in energy access and studies that aims at mitigating the effects of climate change. He has been involved in designing mobile data collection tools, cleaning, data management, visualization, and analysis of data but not limited to data presentation and dissemination of the research findings. He was also involved in data quality checks, cleaning, and analysis of the Burundi Multi-Tier Framework Energy Access Survey which involves nationwide data collection in households, health facilities, and schools. Working with GIS Experts, helping in mapping the households in Burundi using Google earth; he also participated in data cleaning and analysis of the Nakuru CEP project. Before joining EED Advisory, Festus was a Data Analyst at Adaptive Management and Research Consultant (AMREC) where he participated in data cleaning and analysis of a Quasi-experimental study design on the effectiveness of PREP and peer education among MSM, FSW, and AGYW-Jilinde study funded by USAID and help in the programming of survey tools, data quality checks, data cleaning, management, visualization and analysis in a longitudinal Foodscape Hypermarket study conducted in Kisumu and Homabay. Festus has hands-on experience in designing mobile data collection tools including ODK, COmmCare, REDCap, SurveyCTO, and data analysis software including SPSS, STATA, R, and Python. He graduated from Kibabii University having pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
