Dr. Frederick Nyang
Frederick is an energy economist and the immediate former Director of Economic Regulations at the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA). He is both a scholar and practitioner with over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, including teaching positions at the University of Nairobi and Moi University. Frederick has played a key role in the development of energy policy and regulations in Kenya including the drafting of the Sessional Paper No. 4 of 2004 on Energy, Feed-in-Tariffs Policy-2008/12, and the initiation of the Least Cost Power Development Plan process among others. He holds a PhD in Energy and Environmental Economics from the University of Amsterdam (1999), is a Certified Regulation Specialist (Loughborough University, 2010), and is a member of the International Association for Energy Economics.
