Carl is an Analyst at EED Advisory with a particular interest in renewable energy climate change and exploring potential avenues of financing the sector. At EED, Carl is currently the project manager of the Kawisafi Technical Assistance facility (TAF). The KawiSafi technical assistance facility is a $5 million dollar grant facility that arguments KawiSafi’s fund investment strategy of building profitable, scaling and socially responsible businesses that serve bottom of the Pyramid markets. Currently, the facility has provided over 2 million dollars in grant financing to businesses in the off-grid ecosystems. The facility readily funds gender-specific interventions and consumer protection. In addition, Carl is currently the project manager for a CCG funded project that aims to explore frameworks for the aggregation of sub-national energy plans. The resultant impact of this project would be to develop a platform that can aggregate sub-national energy plans into one integrated platform. He also takes part in EED’s overall business development processes by drafting technical and financial proposals. He holds a MsC degree in Renewable Energy, Enterprise and Management and a BsC in Business Management from Newcastle University (UK)
