MECS Kenya National Clean Cooking Strategy

MECS Kenya National Clean Cooking Strategy

The Ministry of Energy, in partnership with Loughborough University (LU), GIZ, MECs, CCG, Sustainable Energy Technical Assistance (SETA), and AFD, contracted EED to develop a national clean cooking strategy for Kenya that addresses the technologies and fuels used in households, institutions, and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kenya. The KNCCS will examine all options available for clean cooking, including transitional energy sources such as LPG, and make recommendations based on their potential to contribute to the health, environmental, and climate change benefits of clean cooking. The KNCCS will be used by partners in the CC space to prioritize activities for implementation and resource mobilization.
