Evaluation of the Performance of Solar Powered Water Supply Systems in Somalia

Evaluated the efficiency, effectiveness and relevance of the solar powered water supply systems in South-Central, North-West and North-East Zones of Somalia and assessing the progress towards achieving sustainable community water supply through these systems. The qualitative assessment included a total of 450 interviews conducted among end users, water operators and other relevant stakeholders. Technical assessments included a review of the design and appropriateness of the power and pumping systems and considered the water demand, distribution systems and total dynamic head.
